About Jeramie J. A. Gallichan

Jeramie focuses his practice on serving individuals, corporations and municipalities with their legal requirements. Jeramie articled with Duncan, Linton LLP and joined the firm as an associate lawyer in its Civil/Municipal Litigation and Corporate/Commercial Groups following his call to the bar in 2015.  Jeramie is dedicated to service excellence.  He has successfully served clients in a variety of contexts, with a particular focus on municipal, construction and commercial disputes. During his articles, Jeramie gained significant courtroom experience by conducting prosecutions for numerous municipalities at various levels of Ontario Courts.

Jeramie has deep roots in Waterloo Region. He was born and raised in the community, attended Waterloo Collegiate Institute and earned an Honours Arts & Business and Political Science degree at the University of Waterloo in 2008. While in the co-operative program at UW, Jeramie worked in sales and management and owned his own home maintenance business. Following the completion of his undergraduate degree, Jeramie worked as a talent agent at a respected talent agency in Toronto. During this time, Jeramie represented some of Canada’s most renowned and recognized actors, comedians and performers. Jeramie carries his reputation as a trusted confidante and fierce advocate for the agency’s clientele to the practice of law.

Law was a natural evolution in Jeramie’s career and gave him the opportunity to further cultivate his passion for service and advocacy. Jeramie earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa Law School in 2014. While in law school, Jeramie was a Writing Leaders Fellow and Teaching Assistant in the Faculty of Law, and a National Social Justice Fellow at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

Outside of work, Jeramie has a strong sense of adventure. He has backpacked and travelled in almost two dozen countries and has been skydiving, paragliding and extreme skiing. Jeramie also enjoys quiet and reflective periods chasing his golf balls on local courses and exploring the region’s many rivers and streams with a fishing pole in hand. Jeramie is a loving and proud husband and father. Most weekends, Jeramie can be found with his wife and two children in parks, splash pads and sports fields throughout Waterloo Region.
