ALAIN D.L. GRENIER, Waterloo Real Estate, Municipal & Planning Lawyer

Alain joined Duncan, Linton LLP as an associate following his call to the bar in 2025. Prior to joining Duncan, Linton LLP, Alain articled at a prominent Brantford & Brant County law firm. Alain focuses his practice on municipal and real estate law, drawing on his experience and interest in planning and land development matters.

Born and raised in Kitchener, Alain eventually moved to London for his post-secondary education. He attended the University of Western Ontario, where he completed their Combined Degree program to simultaneously earn both a Bachelor of Engineering Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Juris Doctor in 2024.

During his time at Western, Alain worked as a legal researcher for one of his professors, where he honed his legal research skills and contributed to the writing and editing process of textbooks in Tort and Contract law. In his final year of law school, Alain also worked as a student editor for the Canadian Journal of Law & Jurisprudence.

Alain spends his spare time with his family, either playing video and tabletop games with his brothers, watching horror movies with his mom, or binging television series with his younger siblings.
