CHRISTOPHER J. MANNING, Waterloo Municipal & Planning Lawyer

Chris practices in our Municipal & Planning Law Group, assisting both public and private sector clients.

Chris was called to the bar in 2020 and joined Duncan, Linton LLP as an associate in 2022. Prior to joining Duncan, Linton LLP, Chris practiced residential and commercial real estate, wills and estates, and corporate law with a full service firm in Brantford, Ontario.

Raised in Brantford, Chris attended Auburn University on a swimming scholarship, later returning to Canada to finish his undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto where he earned an Honours Specialist Bachelor of Arts in History in 2015. During this time, Chris also competed for the University of Toronto Varsity Blues and Canadian National Swim Team, representing Canada at the World Aquatic Championships, World University Games, and multiple World Cups.

Chris attended the University of New Brunswick where he earned a Juris Doctorate in 2019. As a law student, he participated in the Kawaskimhon National Aboriginal Law Moot. During his summer months, Chris worked for the County of Brant as a Summer Law Student.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys fly fishing, fly tying, and going on hikes.
