Michael has a comprehensive corporate and commercial litigation practice with a particular emphasis on construction disputes, municipal litigation, insolvency matters and employment law. He appears before all levels of the Ontario Courts, as well as federal, provincial and municipal administrative tribunals.
Michael is a trusted adviser to several of Waterloo Region’s most prominent construction companies. He also regularly represents and advises municipalities and public boards throughout Waterloo Region and Southern Ontario on a wide variety of issues, with a particular emphasis on expropriation proceedings, tendering issues and ratepayer challenges to by-laws and municipal resolutions.
Michael received his undergraduate degree in economics from Wilfrid Laurier University and his law degree from the University of Toronto Law School. After being called to the Bar in 1997, he practised with a prominent Hamilton law firm before joining Duncan, Linton LLP in 1999.
